ReClassic Episode 1 is here, the biggest server update so far: two dungeons opened, a currency of its own, the Poring Roulette completely renewed and hunting in a party noticeably better. Below is a summary of the news; the full list, with all the numbers and details, is on the Episode 1 page.
Party experience
- Juperos Ruins opened, no quest at all: the dungeon was opened to everyone and made direct, three floors in a straight line, with the entrance north of Juno. It is the new end-game party hunting spot, with Venatu, Dimik, Archdam and Apocalypse in force (the 1st floor got ~30% more monsters). Vesper lives at the core. New drops: Apocalypse drops Abysmalite Fragment and the Dimiks drop Crystallized Abysmalite.
- Njord's Feast became a real party buff: when cast, the bonus goes straight to the whole party within the musician's line of sight and lasts 3 minutes, so the group can spread out. It scales with party size, from +50% EXP (up to 4) to +120% (10 or more). It works with the party in experience share. It now has a 20s cooldown.
- Angel Halos now give Covenant: in the perpetual and unstable versions, the headgear grants the Covenant skill. As leader, you gather all your party mates on the same map to you at once. Fixed cast time of 2.5s and 10s cooldown.
- The Adventure Agency introduces itself in chat: when you enter the game, a short notice shows how many groups are recruiting and where the Agency button is. Turn it off with @agencia off.
- Guilds give EXP Rate and DROP Rate to all online members: as the guild levels up (and with enough people online), everyone connected gets bonuses, from level 10 (+10% EXP / +5% DROP with 2+ online) up to level 25 (+20% EXP / +12.5% DROP with 10+ online). It counts truly different players, an idle dual client does not multiply. Each level has its icon on the status bar.
- Daily Race in a party stopped being diluted: the bonus is now split only among the members present in the hunt (online, same map and level range), without the share of those who are away evaporating.
Eden Group
- The Mission Boards now change every week: from the 10-35 board to the 90-99 one, the hunts rotate. Every Monday the board draws five targets from a much larger pool, with several new monsters (including those of Juperos, Geffenia and Rachel's Temporal Dungeon). Some deliveries ask for a bit more material.
- Hunts in restricted dungeons no longer teleport: when the mission points to a Temporal Dungeon or to Geffenia, the board only tells you the map and you go in through the usual way. In the others, teleporting works as normal.
Skill area indicator (@lgp)
- You can see the exact area of skills on the ground, if you want: with @lgp on, a colored square marks each cell hit by the skill (Storm Gust, Thor's Wrath, Meteor Storm, Safety Wall, Quagmire, Pneuma, Sanctuary, Magnetic Earth and Magnus Exorcismus). It is cosmetic, only shows up for those who turn it on and comes off by default.
Skills
- Knight Spirit changed: while active, spears suffer no penalty against Medium and Small targets; Pierce, Tyr's Impact and Brandish Spear deal +25% damage; Brandish Spear can be used on foot; and Two-Hand Quicken works with any weapon.
- The Alchemist's Marine Sphere explodes instantly: it no longer waits about a second and now detonates the moment it is created. The damage keeps growing with Intelligence and skill level.
- The Alchemist's plants got faster and stronger: their speed now follows the owner's (35% faster than them), with +30% damage and +30% attack speed.
Cards
- Batedor, Congelador, Aquecedor and Archdam combo revamped for the Crusader: rewritten for Crux Magnum and Crux Sanctum. Each card became useful on its own and, with all four together, the damage of the crosses goes up a lot, they cost less SP, cast faster and you take 15% less damage for 3s on every cross.
- Juperos Cards: Venatu (headgear, Critical +3 and ASPD +3%), Dimik (headgear, +3% HP and +3% Neutral resistance) and Apocalypse (armor, +10% max HP and, at +9, unlocks Vigor level 5).
- Vesper Card and Sealed Vesper became anti-boss: +20% physical and magic damage against bosses (Sealed +10% at +9), and they now ignore Boss DEF (Vesper 30%, Sealed 15%, 25% at +9).
- Sealed MVP Cards fixed: Egnigem Cenia, Ifrit, Lady Tanee and Incarnated Samurai had their real effect aligned with the description.
- Mimic and Present better for farming boxes: the chance of Old Blue Box (Mimic) went up from 0.10% to 0.50% and that of Gift Box (Present) from 0.30% to 0.70%.
- Vanberk: gained Attack +15 and the Critical +100 trigger for 5s doubled (0.5% to 1%).
- Isilla: gained Magic Attack +15 on top of Intelligence +2.
- Beholder: now also grants Dispel level 1.
- Echio: the HP for Swordman became +12% max HP (was a flat 500), keeping Attack +15.
- Nightmare Sorrow: the +40% against Holy/Shadow and Angel/Demon now also applies to magic damage.
Temporal dungeons
- Illusory Rachel Sanctuary joined the temporal dungeons: Scientist Edward, in Prontera, opens a passage to a version of the Sanctuary with five floors and over one thousand three hundred monsters (illusory Vanberk, Isilla, Gremlin, Beholder, Hodgremlin, Tracker, Agav and Echio). On the 5th floor lives the Illusory Nightmare Sorrow, which heals itself, summons minions, vanishes and reappears behind the party.
- The Elders are what's worth it: each creature has an older version, the Elder, which withstands and hits harder and is the only one that drops rare equipment and cards. The regular one drops only materials. They live on the deepest floors.
- The Sanctuary Devotee trades equipment for Stained Glass Shard: the strongest monsters of each floor drop Shards, and she trades them for five pieces (Choir's Aegis, Pilgrim's Shoes, Freya's Shroud, Sanctuary Vestments and Rachel's Rosary), 150 Shards each, no zeny. Shards are tradable between players.
- The Spectral Attachment: drops only from Nightmare Sorrow, rare. It enchants the garment with the Ghost property, but the memory fades over time (the Devotee recharges it in exchange for Shards). At +9 or higher the effect becomes permanent.
- At Abyss Lake, regular monsters went back to respawning instantly: no more respawn wait. Detardeurus and Hydrolancer keep their usual respawn time.
Items
- A big batch of classic weapons, accessories, armors, shields and cards was rebalanced: many old things were dated, with only plain Attack or an irrelevant effect. We went through daggers, bows, staves, whips, swords, instruments, katars, spears, books, axes, maces and knuckles giving more Attack, new effects, slots and properties, besides reworking dozens of cards (including several MVP ones) and reviewing the NPC sell prices of several gathering items. That is too much to list here: the full list, item by item, is on the Episode 1 page.
- Restoring Staff gained 1 slot.
- The Drill (spear) now ignores the defense of any monster, including bosses and other races.
- Vesper Cores work for any class and gained 1 slot each.
- Orleans's Gloves: Dexterity +3 (was +2).
- New Crusader armor in Juperos, the Armor of Grace (Archdam and Vesper): +5% max HP, +3% Neutral resistance and +20% damage on Grand Cross.
- Scrolls stop spending time while you are offline: Magnificat, Gloria, Impositio and Ancient Magic freeze the time when you log out and resume when you log in.
- Volcanic Magic Robe and Shoes now boost fire magic (from +9).
- New Hunting Arrow in Prontera (15z), ammunition for the Bone Hunter set bonus; the vendor also packs arrows into a quiver.
- Classic bows stronger: Ballista 190 to 200 Attack and Luna Bow 125 to 135, with Blind and Stun doubled.
- Queen Bee Tiara +7 gives 3 Spirit Spheres (was 2) and +10% damage on Asura Strike.
- Oracle's Scarf and Melodic Hat: at +7, the damage bonus of Slinging Arrow and Melody Strike went up from 75% to 100%.
Refining
- Imperfect Ores protect at any refine level: Imperfect Oridecon and Elunium now work from +1 to +10; on failure the equipment never breaks, it only loses a level. The rates were standardized per refine level.
- Refining staves now increases Magic Attack: from +2 to +7 Magic Attack per refine depending on the staff, one-handed and two-handed.
Monsters and fields
- Odin Temple Valkyrie pays off more: base and job experience went up from 20,000 to 50,000.
- The fields got more monsters: 102 fields were reinforced, with more critters where it was empty (up to ~60% more) and a smaller push where it was already full (~20%). MVPs, rare monsters (Angeling, Ghostring, Deviling) and gathering plants were left out.
Defense and resistances
- Neutral element resistance now has a 70% cap: no matter how much you stack, you still take at least 30% of Neutral damage. It only affects those who stacked resistance to the point of zeroing the damage; most builds notice no difference.
Rebirth
- The carry capacity fragment is worth the right weight again: it was giving ten times less; fixed to +350 / +700 / +1050 weight per Crossing. Those who already chose it receive the full value.
- Apex Mantle: whoever completed the three Crossings can, with the Valkyrie, take on the look of the transcendent class (Priest becomes High Priest, and so on). It is only visual, saves between logins and can be worn and stored freely.
- The companion can rest in the egg during the Crossing: with the Valkyrie you send the companion to the egg at any time and call it back whenever you want.
Visuals and cosmetics
- The Stylist got a menu of its own, "Style Headgears": it gathers all the costumes that exist in more than one color, organized by slot. Free live preview; applying costs 3 Stylish Tickets. There are already thirteen items on the list.
- Class names in Portuguese in the information window (Alt+A): Cavaleiro, Sacerdote, Super Aprendiz and all the others, in place of English.
Economy
- Zeny prices are floating: the values charged in zeny for server services and items may be updated every Wednesday at 11:59 PM, according to the economy's balance.
- Arcane Gem dropping 30% less: it was too abundant and dragging down its own value. It still drops from the same monsters, only more rarely.
- Abysmalite Fragment rarer from Salamander, Kasa, Necromancer and Imp; the Imp gained a new source: it now drops Crystallized Abysmalite (3%).
- Nogg Road materials (2nd floor) 30% cheaper when sold to the NPC, to contain the zeny injection into the economy. The items drop the same; only how much the NPC pays changes.
- New merchant in Prontera, the Smuggler: sells consumables directly for zeny (Chewing Gum 700,000z, limited to 5/day, Combat Grimoire, Combat Manual, Ziegfried's Amulet and Convex Mirror).
- Cash Shop consumables now have a limit of 3 per day per account; the 10-unit boxes are gone and the Combat Grimoire and Convex Mirror came in as single items.
- Valhalla Flower: NPC sell value rebalanced from 100,000z to 50,000z (drops the same, only the sell value changes).
- The Costume Chewing Gum left Eden and is now bought for zeny from the Smuggler (3,000,000z); it became a costume item keeping the +10% DROP. Those who already had it equipped need to re-equip.
- The Wise Old Lady now also removes Abyss Orbs from equipment (2,000,000z); the orb shatters in the process, but the equipment comes out intact.
Prontera Cash Bazaar
- Prontera's second trade wing became the Cash Bazaar: little shops set up there (with Trading) sell in Cash Points. The main wing stays in Zeny. Cash shops show up with a [Cash] tag.
- The Bazaar also shows up on the site: the Marketplace page gained the Bazaar tab, with the Cash shops open live; copy the /navi on the site and go to the vendor in game.
Poring Roulette
- The rings were renewed: the old ones are out and four new ones are in: Fleet Feet Ring (speed burst for 7s), Elemental Ring (you choose the property of your defense), Anti Grave Ring (revives instantly with full HP/SP and no EXP loss, outside PvP/GvG/BG) and Perfect Forge Ring (higher success chance when refining).
- The top of the Roulette was renewed: the Deviling's 777 category now draws four new pieces of equipment, the Astral Mantle (magic armor/Priest), the Wanderer's Boots (recovers HP while walking and gives a stat bonus at +7), the Weird Mask (+300 HP, +70 SP, +3% Neutral) and the Bone Hunter (Archer/Hunter bow with 2 slots).
- Insignia System, with the new Prontera Artisan: he engraves an Insignia on the 3rd slot of compatible equipment (for now the Wanderer's Boots) in exchange for Abysmalite. Each Insignia distributes 3 units of bonus among the stats and awakens at +9; you can try as many times as you like.
- The Roulette Packs arrived, from July 15 to 31: the Ghostring Pack (R$ 99) and the Deviling Pack (R$ 299), the latter with the Baphomet Cult Mask, an exclusive costume recolorable at the Stylist. They can be bought more than once while the window is open.
Referrals
- Referral rewards are being delivered properly again: the Ambassador pieces (Wings, Beret and Cape) that were not arriving were automatically resent to everyone affected.
Battle Pass
- Day 16 adjustment: the amount of Ancestral Focus Wands was corrected to line up with the other days of the season.
Pets
- Pet evolution has arrived! With Loyal intimacy and the recipe items, you can evolve some critters (Poring into Mastering into Angeling, Peco Peco into Grand Peco, Yoyo into Choco, and more) straight from the pet window.
- The pets' lines came back with the right accents: over 1,400 lines rebuilt.
- The evolution materials are already on sale from the Merchant in Prontera, for zeny.
The full Episode 1 list, with all the details and numbers, is on the Episode 1 page: the floors monster by monster, the drops, the cards and the shops.
